1960s Vintage Huzzawouie images

Huzzawouie (Huzza’s) reef break in Cowaramup Bay works on a large swell and is sheltered from the prevailing south west winds.

It is understood the surf break was named ‘Huzzawouie’ in the early 60s after a cartoon character.

Surfing competitions have been held at the surf break since the inaugural State Surfing Titles in 1964.
