Inaugural North End Board Club member Jim Breadsell captured these images of Geoff Culmsee surfing Big Rock beach south of Gracetown at Easter in 1970.

Geoff Culmsee is a South West surfing pioneer. He made his first surf trip to Yallingup with his Scarborough mate Murray Smith in 1960. In 1969 Geoff moved down south with his wife Esther and three month old daughter. Geoff has lived, worked and surfed down south since then.
