In 1953 Bruce ‘Moonshine’ Hill was one of the first to ride Yallingup waves on a surfboard – refer Surfing Down South book for details. Moonshine was one of the most talented surfers of the era. Keen photographer John Budge took this water shot of Colin Taylor and ‘Moonshine’ surfing Yallingup on their balsa malibu surfboards in 1957.
