Gracetown’s South Point surf break is a haven for surfers in the South West.
The surf break was discovered and surfed by Murray Smith and his North End Board Club mates in the early 60s. The wave breaks on a solid swell and is sheltered from the prevailing south west wind.
State & National Surfing Championships have been held at South Point since the 70s.
