In 2018 I attended the annual Surfing Doctors conference in G-Land Indonesia. I went with some of my colleagues from Busselton emergency department. It was a great week of networking, sharing stories, learning new medicine, and I’ve course waves and frosty Bintangs.
These photos were taken in the Mentawai islands where I have worked as a volunteer medic and bar girl at different surf resorts including Pitstop Hill resort, Kandui villas and Macaronis.

Mentawais A Frames
Bikinis on a big swell in July while working as a medic at Kandui. Got to borrow some of the villa’s longboards!
This guy got 12 stitches from a fin chop surfing Kandui on low tide. They heard there was a medic in the area so came to the Villas, I charged him a small fee for supplies and performed the Good Samaritan act.
