Veteran longboard champion Tony Harrison started surfboard riding at Cottesloe, Dutch Inn and Cable Station in 1962-63.
From late 1967 to 1974 Tony worked at Hawke Surfboards in Osborne Park glassing, sanding and finishing board with Doug Lachlison and shaper Murray Smith.
In 1975 Tony left Hawke Bros, bought his first house at Two Rocks and went cray fishing.
From 1979-80 he sold munchies from a van at The Spot surf break near Yanchep.
Tony (age 72) is retired and lives in Albany. He competes in the Over 70s division of Longboard contests.
