Steve Batchelor lived at Yallingup in the 70s, he was a member of the Surfside Board Riders Club and a keen amateur photographer. His dad Mike was a National Park ranger in Yallingup at the time.
Steve “Im doing a bit of photo cataloguing during my heart surgery recovery to keep occupied and found these of 1970’s Injidup Car Park
The black and white photo would have been around 1976, as I only used B&W film in last year of School for Photography. 1976 would have been only my second year in Yallingup (lived next to Yallingup Caves) having moved down from Exmouth in 1975 and still very much a novice surfer.
The colour shots taken by my Dad (Mike) with me in the blue beanie walking towards camera, this would have been most likely between 1977 and October 1979 as until I got my licence Dad would drop me off at the surf on his rounds as National Park Ranger in Yallingup.”
Thanks Mike & Steve for sharing your vintage Injidup photos.
