Popular Cowaramup surfer Arthur ‘Arty’ Sherburn passed away at home on Tues 28 March 2023 after suffering a heart attack. He has been unwell for some time and has not been surfing recently.
Arty was a member of the Southern Surfriders Board Club in the 1960s and was the first WA surfer to win a National Title. He won the Senior Mens division of the 1977 Nationals held in NSW.
A tribute to Arty will be arranged at a later date.
