In the late 70s former NZ surfer/surf photographer Ric Chan was living at Scarborough and working as a photojournalist for Independent Newspapers, among other things.
In 1979 Ric was on assignment for the Independent Newspaper when he snapped these photos of media celebrities Grant Goldman, Delvene Delaney and Peter Harrison on the beach front at Scarborough or Trigg.
Grant Goldman was a well known voice on 6PR and become a seasoned broadcaster on the East Coast. He hosted the first edition of the ABC’s Countdown TV program. Grant passed away 2020.
Delvene Delaney is an Australian actress of soap opera and film, television presenter and singer. She was married to The Paul Hogan Show co-star John ‘Strop’ Cornell for 44 years until his death in July 2021. They have two children, Allira and Liana Cornell.
