The late Arthur ‘Arty’ Sherburn provided these photos of Weekend Warriors negotiating a soggy Gallows track in their 2WD vehicles circa 1964.
Arty was a member of the Southern Surfriders Board Club in the 1960s and was the first WA surfer to win a National Title. He won the Senior Mens division of the 1977 Nationals held in NSW.
Sadly, Arty passed away at his Cowaramup home on Tuesday, 28 March 2023.
