1960s Surfers Balls

The Annual Surfers Balls held during the 1960s were a quintessential part of WA’s surf culture, drawing in large crowds and creating a vibrant social scene. Organized by WASRA, individual surfboard clubs, and even some non-surfing organisations, the social events became legendary for their lively atmosphere and community spirit.

These events featured top local bands and provided a unique space for surfers and their supporters to come together, celebrate their shared passion, and enjoy unforgettable nights of music, dancing, and camaraderie.
