Gracetown surfer Bronte Macaulay has followed her dad Dave into a pro surfing career. The popular goofy footer is coached by her dad former professional surfer Dave Macaulay. Dave tours with Bronte on the world circuit.
The 2017 WSL Rookie of the Year surfed her way to the quarter finals in the 2018 Margaret River Pro, before the event was abandoned following predator attacks on Gracetown beaches.
The Macaulay family has surfing memorabilia on display at the WA Surf Gallery at Aravina Estate Yallingup. They recently visited the Gallery and dad and daughter signed the celebrity surfboard.

Dave Macaulay surfed on the Pro Tour in the 80s and early 90s and finished No. 3 in the world twice.
Bronte’s sister Laura is also a talented surfer and won a place in the 2017 Margaret Pro event during the trials.
