Margaret River surfer Jackie Clarke is a successful Yoga teacher and mother of two boys and a girl.
This is Jackie’s surfing life in a nut shell:
Started surfing when I was 20, when I got a job at Rotto hotel in Uni holidays. Went over the falls at Stricko’s for 2 months! It was too fast!
Finally got faced at Leighton beach after 3 months of trying!
Ten years later made the State surfing team as the Senior rep. Came 3rd at the Australian open in Senior Women division – at my first love – Stricko’s!!!!
Came first in Yalls Boardriders contest in the naughties.
Inside Babies at Bears my fave wave.
This photo was taken 25 years ago in Byron Bay. (but I look the same …..).I am holding my first “custom” surfboard with the purple dolphin on it – My hippy days!

I will surf until my 80s. I love the feeling!
