In 2004 Surfing WA celebrated their 40th Anniversary at AQWA (Aquarium of WA) in Hillarys.
A booklet titled Offshore and Pumping – 40 years of surfing in WA was published and issued to invitees at the function.
1965-67 WA Women’s surfing champion Teena Christon was invited to officially cut the Anniversary cake with WA politician John Quigley.
