2006 Wombat’s fruit and vegetables stall at Yallingup.

In early 2006 street vendor ‘Wombat’ from Bridgetown sold fruit and vegetables under the trees in front of Surfside Café on the beach front at Yallingup.

Yallingup local Peter ’Mac’ McDonald captured these images of Wombat’s fruit & veg stall and Surfside Cafe : –

Then in late 2006 property developers demolished the Surfside complex and built holiday accommodation with a beach shop and cafe on the site.

Surfside Cafe and Wombat’s fruit & veg business disappeared from the beach front at that time.
