60s Colin and Jennie Cordingley from Cordingley Surfboards in Subiaco captured WA
surfing footage on their hand held Super 8 movie camera.
Kevin
Ager (former Cordingley
shaper/team rider) – This
footage features a young Mike Bibby, Terry James, Alan McGilvray, Brian Boynes,
Joe Wilson among others in a Yallingup Board Club intra-club contest, circa
1966 at Cottesloe main beach with the groyne in the background.
The
other shots include Ashley Jones and Ian Cairns surfing in an inter- club
contest between Cottesloe Board Club and Southern Surf Riders at Isolated circa
1967.
