In the 1980s surf photorapher Ric Chan was the Advertising Executive and Photographer for West Coast Magazine in WA.

During this time Ric Chan created a popular advt. in West Coast Surfer magazine featuring Graham Noakes’ Caltex Garage in Margaret River.

Then in 2017, Ric saw an opportunity to produce a modern feminine version of the Noakes’ advt. featuring Dunsborough surf media personality Thea McDonald-Lee.
Ric Chan “Met this hottie, and asked if she would lemme create a new version of the Noakes’ advt. Does it work for you? Certainly, works for me.”

Both advts proved very popular with punters and Ric’s two models are now friends.
