Felicity ‘Flick’ Palmateer is an Australian professional surfer and commentator for the World Surf League.
Felicity was born on August 4 1992 in Perth, Western Australia. She spent her childhood on the beaches of Western Australia surfing with her father Warrick Palmateer and two younger brothers. In 2015, goofy footer Felicity Palmateer made Aussie history by riding a 30-foot wave at Cow Bombie, Western Australia, which is the biggest wave ever ridden by an Aussie woman, a title that was previously held by Layne Beachley. The video of her ride became an entry in the Billabong Ride of the Year category of the 2016 WSL Big Wave Awards. Source Supergirls
In 2016 Felicity was invited to compete in the WSL first women’s big wave Pe’ahi Women’s Challenge on the island of Maui Hawaii and placed 3rd.
In October 2017 Felicity placed 7th in the WSL first women’s big wave Pe’ahi Women’s Challenge on the island of Maui Hawaii.
In 2017Felicity was nominated for Billabong Ride of the Year category for her ride at Jaws in Nov 2016 – WSL Big Wave Awards
In 2020 Felicity was nominated for Ride of the Year category for her ride at Jaws in Dec 2019 – WSL Big Wave Awards.
