Peter granted Surfing Down South access to his surf photo albums prior to losing his battle with cancer in April 2018. It was his wish for SDS to continue publishing his surfing images.

In 2013 Scarborough surfer/artist/photographer Peter Matulich holidayed on the east coast of Bali. He surfed good rights and lefts peaking and pitching along a coral arc at Serangan Beach (aka Turtle island).
Peter – I rode my Mark Richards 6′ 2″ twin fin replica of MR’s ’82 contest board.After a fun session, I returned to the beach and was met by a young Balinese photographer who told me he had taken some good surfing shots of me. He fired up a generator on the beach, connected it to a computer and downloaded the images onto a disc for me…he was very enterprising!
