60s

Graham McManus’s first Cordingley surfboard

Former Wembley lad Graham McManus enjoyed surfing and fast cars before National Service interrupted his fun time in the late 60s.

Graham McManusIn 1963 I got my first Cordingley board. It was the Late Colin Cordingley’s personal board and I bought it off him, when I worked opposite Cordingleys in Hay St Subiaco in the 60s. I stored the board under the former City Beach Tea Rooms like a lot of other young surfers.
