A decade ago, I prepared 1950s-80s SW surf pioneers slideshows for use at Surfing Down South book promotions and to share with friends. At the time, I was helping author Sue-Lyn Moyle research WA surf history for the SDS book. The book was published in Feb 2014 and sold out after two editions.
In 2012 we did a Talk Fest on the upcoming Surfing Down South book in conjunction with a Surf Expo at Clancy’s Fish Pub Dunsborough. There was a good crowd in attendance and author Sue-Lyn Moyle interviewed Dave Macaulay, Loz Smith and Jim King. A surfing pioneers slideshow playing on a screen in the background.

In 2013 we did a book promotion at the Foam Lust Surf Festival, Margaret River. Speakers included Sue-Lyn Moyle, Jim King, Tom Blaxell, Bill Gibson and Mick Marlin. A surfing pioneers sideshow played on a screen in the background.
